We’re seeking an 🚀 AI Automation Engineer 🚀 to design, develop, and manage automations, AI agents, and low‑code/no‑code solutions across critical PX workflows. You’ll build production‑ready automations, maintain shared pattern libraries, ensure observability and compliance, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

Projects will involve Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, n8n, Azure Foundry, and other related technologies. You’ll own the full pipeline: intake → design → build → test → deploy → operate, ensuring alignment with MIO Automation & Innovation standards and PX governance.

🛠 Essential Responsibilities

Solution Design & Development (40%)

• 🔧 Scope, design, and develop automations using Power Platform, Copilot Studio, n8n, Azure Foundry
• 🐍 Build custom automations with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, LangChain, LangGraph
• 🤖 Develop AI‑powered agents for decision‑making, workflow automation, summarization, and routing
• 🔒 Implement secure, resilient, observable workflows aligned to CoE patterns
• ⚙️ Build CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions
• 📦 Develop modular, reusable components aligned to PX architecture

Performance & Continuous Improvement (30%)

• 📊 Own lifecycle of AI agents: design, prompt/logic, evaluation, deployment, monitoring
• 📚 Maintain agent catalogs, documentation, dependencies, performance baselines
• ✅ Ensure adherence to safety guardrails and quality criteria
• 🧪 Design evaluation frameworks (unit tests, integration tests, benchmarks)
• 🔔 Establish monitoring and alerting with Application Insights

Automation Patterns, Libraries & Frameworks (15%)

• 📂 Contribute to shared pattern libraries and reusable assets
• 🏗 Standardize workflow designs to accelerate delivery
• 🤝 Partner with CoE lead to refine engineering standards

Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Enablement (15%)

• 👥 Partner with PX operations, BI, TPM, Support Engineering, Product teams
• 📖 Provide technical enablement, documentation, and training
• 💡 Support experimentation and innovation pilots

🎯 Ideal Skills & Experience

• 5+ years with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse) or automation frameworks (n8n, Copilot Studio, Azure Foundry)
• Strong coding in Python & JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph for AI agent orchestration
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, IaC practices
• Familiarity with pytest, Jest, TDD
• Knowledge of Copilot Studio and emerging AI systems
• Expertise in Power BI dashboards, Power Apps (Model Driven & Canvas)
• Strong API integration, webhook, REST/GraphQL design skills
• Experience with Docker, Azure/AWS deployments
• Understanding of security, compliance, data privacy in SaaS
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects

🎓 Education & Certifications

• B.A./B.S. in technical or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Power Platform certifications (PL‑900, PL‑400, PL‑600) a plus
• GitHub or Azure DevOps certifications a plus
• AI, automation, or workflow‑orchestration certifications preferred
