The Manager of Migration Projects leads a team of Migration Specialists responsible for executing customer migration projects, responding to partner inquiries, and resolving escalations. This role focuses on operational excellence, team development, and continuous improvement of migration processes while collaborating closely with cross-functional partners to deliver a high-quality migration experience.

Essential Responsibilities and Percentage of Time Spent

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of Migration Specialists, providing clear direction, feedback, and performance management. (30%)

  • Manage day-to-day execution of migration projects, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and partner expectations are met. (25%)

  • Identify process gaps and opportunities for improvement to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and improve partner satisfaction. (15%)

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Partner Support, Operations, Engineering, and Product) to resolve issues and improve migration workflows. (15%)

  • Handle escalations and complex migration challenges, providing guidance and decision-making support. (10%)

  • Contribute to special projects, documentation, and operational initiatives as assigned. (5%)

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies

  • At least three (3) years of people management experience or demonstrated leadership experience in a project, operations, or customer-facing environment.

  • Prior experience in migration services, technical operations, fulfillment, or customer support roles.

  • Strong operational mindset with the ability to balance tactical execution and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to translate goals and priorities into actionable work for the team.

  • Effective communicator with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and motivate team members.

  • Ability to navigate conflict and drive resolution in a constructive and professional manner.

Required Education & Certifications

  • B.A./B.S. in a related field or equivalent relevant work experience.

  • Relevant technical or project management certifications are a plus.

Work Environment

Professional office environment. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and collaboration tools. Remote and/or hybrid work requires secure, private internet service.

Physical Demands

Sedentary role involving prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing.

Travel Requirements

Infrequent travel may be required.
