Position Summary:
The SVP/VP of Global Vendor Alliances leads the global vendor strategy, development and product enablement for Pax8. This senior business leader ensures that Pax8 strategy is aligned and committed to by our Pax8 strategic vendor partners and be ultimately responsible for global target attainment by vendor, and geographic location through the vendor account management team. They will serve as a strategic sponsor for global relationships and propel the development of global practice and go-to-market (GTM) strategies, ensuring that there is a robust Corporate to Region, high functioning relationship framework. The VP of Vendor Alliances leads the development of global strategic plans, and regional execution plans in conjunction with Regional VX leaders to achieve targets in collaboration with multiple key stakeholders within Pax8. They will develop and oversee an internal and external ROB (Rhythm Of the Business) framework that tracks performance and collects/share key industry insights. This will ensures that the business continues to have successful performance and continues to lead the market with innovations that produce high levels of satisfaction and consistent quality experience.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Creates a strategy that positions Pax8 as a trusted advisor to Vendors amid the agentic AI transformation in SMB. Lead VAMs to be perceived as “adjunct board members” of Vendor organization
- Implements and accelerates a successful hyperscaler strategy and Enterprise ISV acquisition strategy that ensures the success of Pax8’s Platform business objectives.
- Develops the global vendor development strategy anchored around AI and Security in SMB for Pax8 while monitoring and reacting to data to continually achieve goals.
- Functions as an Industry “thought leader” focused on driving the growth of global revenue and sets regional targets while providing community leadership for cloud strategists regionally and globally.
- Leads global vendor liaisons that engage, and support proposed investable models, strategic sales plays, and alignment of all GTM strategies.
- Builds, develops and aligns a team that is charged with successfully delivering revenue and profit objectives of the company through vendors.
- Develops the innovation, creation, and collaboration with company provided resources to drive partner enablement and recruit partners and customers while maintaining alignment with Vendor Success Managers, Academy, Finance, Marketing, Professional Services, Sales, and peers in driving global vendor strategy.
- Identifies issues and makes actionable recommendations to ensure elevated vendor performance across multiple process areas including Sales, Marketing, Support, Product, and Billing from a technical support and enablement standpoint with API integrations, engineering, and technical sales teams.
- Builds quarterly Global OKRs and provides weekly updates.
Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
- At least fifteen (15) years of experience working in Sales and/or Business Development in the technology space.
- Both technical and business background preferred.
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
- Proven success in selling through the indirect channel; passion for empowering organizations to serve their customers.
- Proven success in creating scalable business plans to drive the business, analyzing results, and making appropriate modifications to continually improve execution.
- Highly organized with project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and create sales strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver training, executive presentations and innovations in 1:1 and 1: many settings.
- Ability to design and deliver presentations in live and virtual environments.
- Always conducts themselves in a professional manner.
- Ability to effectively build formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization.
- Ability to create new and better ways for the organization to be successful through adversity.
- Ability to make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.

Required Education & Certifications:
- MBA or master's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Compensation:
- Qualified candidates can expect a compensation range of $220,000/yr to $275,000/yr or more depending on experience.
