Position Summary:
The Academy Project Specialist provides project management and operational support to the Pax8 Academy team with a focus on managing a portfolio of projects, improving productivity through Tool enablement, and driving team-wide efficiency. The Project Manager plays a crucial role in the operations of Academy by fielding project requests, gathering requirements, collaborating with stakeholders, managing projects end to end, and providing reporting within Academy. They identify and analyze opportunities to improve processes and workflows. The role requires experience with complex project management and process optimization using automation, technology, and tools.
Essential Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):
- Project Management
- Lead and organize all aspects of project management, including defining project scopes, keeping stakeholders accountable, meeting all deadlines and milestones, providing frequent follow up, and producing project deliverables to ensure project success.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate requirements; ensure a clear understanding of objectives, constraints, and success criteria; address issues; and obtain buy-in on proposed solutions.
- Experience in managing complex, long-range programs within dedicated portfolios, including planning, execution, monitoring, and control. Proficient with a wide range of project management and/or process methodologies (e.g., Agile, Kanban, Waterfall) and tools, with a history of successfully delivering complex data management projects on time and within budget.
- Experience in managing change within programs, including implementing change initiatives, facilitating organizational transitions, and overcoming resistance.
- Tool Management
- Develop strategies, maintain organization, and manages processes and procedures for implementing tools, integrations, and reporting.
- Maintain tools utilized across Academy, providing best practice and enablement support to educate team members on best practices.
- Product Enablement
- Create and maintain Product requests on behalf of Academy Stakeholders.
- Ability to recommend best practices in Roadmap functionality.
Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
- Proven experience managing projects for teams larger than 30.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills —always looking beyond the available options when up against roadblocks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong project management skills and the ability to plan, prioritize and multitask.
- Experience with relevant software and tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Workboard, data visualization tools, and project management software. Knowledge of AI best practices for Project Management, Confluence and/or ConnectWise highly preferred.

Required Education & Certifications:
- B.A./B.S. in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Project Management Certifications (CAPM, PMP, PgMP) strongly considered.
Compensation:
- Qualified candidates can expect a compensation range of $69,000/yr to $86,000/yr or more depending on experience.
