Position Summary:
The Sr. Tax Accountant prepares and assists with US and international corporate tax provisions in accordance with ASC740, US and international tax compliance, sales and use tax compliance, and related reporting across the Company.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Prepare US federal, foreign, and state income tax provisions pursuant to ASC 740 on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Assist in the development of the corporate tax function and processes.
- Support tax compliance for the US entity and all foreign subsidiaries.
- Assist with indirect taxes including sales and use, and property, and oversight of all audits in these areas.
- Assist in the preparation of US GAAP disclosures related to the income tax provision for the annual financial statements.
- Assist in close process by providing ASC 740 calculations on a quarterly basis.
- Remit federal and state corporate tax payments (e.g., extensions, estimates, balances due).
- Assist with various other tax compliance research and documentation.
- Assist with the automation of various tax department processes.
Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
- At least four (4) years of international and corporate tax experience in public accounting and in-house experience preferred.
- Experience with US domestic as well as international tax matters.
- Experience in ASC 740 including foreign income tax provision and valuation allowance analysis.
- Experience with CorpTax provision software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Familiarity with US SOX compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to interact at the highest levels with top management and external parties.
- Motivated, quick learner and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, able to research, synthesize, apply and explain complex tax matters.
Required Education & Certifications:
- B.A./B.S. in a related field (e.g., Accounting) or equivalent work experience.
- Active CPA License is preferred.
Compensation:
- Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $81,000 or more depending on experience
