Position Summary:
The Internal Communications Assistant is a part-time role requiring an energetic, self-motivated, and detail-oriented individual with strong writing, reading, and analytical skills. This role will support the Manager of Internal Communications in executing global and regional initiatives, gaining meaningful experience in evaluating and addressing the communications needs of our employees across the globe.
We are looking for someone who is curious, a natural problem solver, self-driven, and eager to support a dynamic internal communications team in delivering impactful and innovative communications. Tasks will include researching, project planning, creating effective messaging and assets for diverse audiences, and assisting with various administrative needs to support the internal communications team.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Manager of Internal Communications with the development, management, and implementation of global and regional communications projects.
- Supporting research efforts focused on internal communications, engagement, and employee experience.
- Participating in strategy meetings by taking notes, identifying needs, and creating action plans.
- Writing, creating, and sharing content and messaging across multi-media internal communication channels.
- Coordinating with global and regional teams to ensure alignment and consistency in communications campaigns.
Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
- Excellent writing and editing skills and highly detail oriented.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products and comfortable using and learning digital communications platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, SharePoint, etc.
- Design experience, including creating graphics for internal newsletters, presentations, infographics, and digital signage using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with deadlines.
- Desire to conduct research, develop proposals, and present findings clearly and concisely.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Demonstrates a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and trust.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Completed or pursuing a college degree in communications or have relevant work experience.
Compensation:
- Qualified candidates can expect an hourly rate of $20 per hour or more depending on experience
