Position Summary:
The Public Relations (PR) Manager is a skilled professional with experience developing, implementing, and coordinating communications, content, and messaging strategies and tactics. They work closely with members of the External Communications team and colleagues throughout Marketing, Sales, Vendor Business, Pax8 Studios, senior leaders, and others at Pax8 to deliver compelling and relevant messages to the market. The PR Manager has excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, can effectively develop external communications across various channels, and are experienced in project management.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Supports the development and implementation of public relations strategies and actively seeks out opportunities for new campaigns and story pitches.
- Assists in the creation of press releases, thought leadership content, awards entries, other written materials, and manages the Pax8 newsroom website to drive brand visibility.
- Collaborates with public relations agency to support brand messaging and reach key audiences effectively.
- Supports the creation of written materials throughout the content life cycle, including writing, reviewing, and proofreading drafts.
- Monitors media coverage, tracking Pax8 mentions and industry trends.
- Maintains organized files and records related to public relations, awards, and thought leadership content, and disseminates appropriate information to Pax8 teams for alignment and overall education.
- Researches and identifies award opportunities that showcase the company’s technology innovations and industry leadership. Coordinates and manages award applications, submissions, and follow-ups to maximize recognition for the company.
- Supports the team by providing coordination, administration, and reporting tasks, ensuring projects are organized and efficient. Performs other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
- At least three (3) years of relevant experience in public relations, communications, or related field with technology industry knowledge preferred. Proven track record of successful public relations campaigns and initiatives.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and social media platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with deadlines in a constantly changing environment.
- Effective time-management skills.
- Highly detailed-oriented.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Inherently demonstrate a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and trust.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with media monitoring tools and award application platforms is a plus.
Required Education & Certifications:
- B.A./B.S. in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Compensation:
- Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $61,000 or more depending on experience
