Position Summary:

The AWS Technical Strategy Manager contributes to revenue growth by supporting technical solutions, technical skilling and enablement, and by engaging with both internal and external audiences to drive adoption of AWS among Pax8 partners and prospects. They support the AWS department in the management of technical operations, and ongoing support of AWS-specific programs. The Manager shares their technical knowledge of AWS services, our competition, and the industry by delivering technical insights with our partners and internal sales teams. This role is technical in nature, with the ability to grow your business credentials.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support our Sales, Pre-Sales, and Service Delivery teams with AWS account management, migrations, and queries.
  • Bring proof of concept programs into production, and support going forward.
    • Enhance existing programs with new features.
    • Support the long-term success of programs that have been developed.
    • Deliver programs to enable partners to succeed with Pax8.
  • Support our Vendor Operations team with operational and billing queries and future development.
  • Support the Pax8 AWS Senior Management team with the AWS relationship.
  • Participate in AWS Pax8 events and trainings including delivering content where appropriate.
  • Continued professional development of AWS technical and business skillsets.

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least two (2) years of experience in a technical engineer role with at least one (1) year of experience in AWS technical sales, preferably IT Channel Sales.
  • Working knowledge of the AWS Well Architected Framework Review.
  • Meaningful time spent with AWS Services, including, but not limited to, Organizations, IAM, S3, CloudFormation, VPC, EC2, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail.
  • DevOps skillset with experience in Git, Bash, Python, Containers, and CICD.
  • Knowledge and understanding of how the Sales Channel operates preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of AWS Partner Network.
  • Knowledge and technical understanding of AWS Partner ecosystem (e.g., Cloud, Products, Offerings)
  • Strong communication, presentation, and meeting management skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • High level of organizational skills.
  • High level of project managements skills.

Required Education & Certifications:

  • B.A./B.S. in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Associate Technical AWS Certification
  • Working towards Solution Architect Professional

Compensation:

  • Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $84,000 or more depending on experience

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
