*This is a hybrid role and will require a few days a week onsite at our Greenwood Village, CO location*

Position Summary:

The Technical Accounting Manager focuses on complex business issues such as acquisitions, stock compensation, and financial consolidation and reporting. They are responsible for managing the research and documentation of our overall company’s technical accounting positions and providing guidance to entities across the globe. The Manager is an integral part of the accounting and finance organization and has frequent interaction with accounting and finance leadership, including executive leadership.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Interpret accounting literature and apply technical standards to complex business issues and transactions.
  • Own technical accounting functions, including equity compensation, purchase accounting, lease accounting, and coordination with the tax team to ensure proper accounting for income taxes (ASC 740).
  • Lead the development of technical accounting policies and reporting.
  • Assist with global consolidation and both internal and external reporting processes.
  • Participate in acquisition integrations and establish reporting guidelines.
  • Assess current internal controls and provide input on the design and implementation of additional controls.
  • Assist with the annual audit, including the preparation of timely, high-quality technical accounting memos on all key technical accounting matters.

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least three (6) years of increasingly responsible accounting and reporting experience with a public accounting firm, a large public company, or a combination of both.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) experience in consolidated reporting.
  • Experience with SEC reporting preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-growing company preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task, adapt to multiple demands and shifting/competing priorities while delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Required Education & Certifications:

  • B.A./B.S. and M.A./M.S. in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • CPA certification is required.

Compensation:

  • Qualified candidates can expect a salary between the range of $91,000 - $135,000 depending on experience

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
