Position Summary:

The Junior Software Engineer collaborates with other members of the engineering team to build and support existing software applications. They participate in all parts of the development lifecycle, gaining project work experience.

Essential Responsibilities:

Builds new features and addresses bugs while collaborating with members of the development team
Participates in grooming sessions, project planning, and other aspects of the agile development lifecycle
Dedicates time to improving programming skills and learning software development best practices
Presents and/or demos work to gain a better understanding of what is being delivered

Ideal Skills, Experience and Competencies:

No previous experience required up to two (2) years of relevant software development experience preferred
Beginner level experience with a relevant programming language (e.g. Java, Javascript, Groovy, etc)
Collaborative mindset and work abilities
Ability to effectively absorb and apply peer feedback
Ability to communicate effectively

Required Education & Certifications:

Pursuing a B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience

Compensation:

This is a part-time, non-exempt position. Qualified candidates can expect an hourly rate beginning at $20/hour or more depending on experience

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
