Position Summary:

At Pax8, our Social Impact team is dedicated to humanizing impactful and valuable experiences; that brings about socially responsible change in our business, communities, and partnerships. As the Social Impact Intern, you will assist the Social Impact team with daily projects and aid related to strategic social impact goals; specifically, within our corporate giving, volunteerism, and social procurement goals. This role will interact with executive stakeholders, department leaders and employees throughout the organization globally, and gain real-world experience working side by side with the Social Impact team. This internship will also have the opportunity to help build and develop the strategic roadmap for a new Pax8 B-Corp alongside Master’s students at the University of Colorado Boulder’s “B Impact Clinic.”

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Social Impact marketing and communications strategy and implementation
  • Engage employees in volunteerism, fundraising, and related tools and programs
  • Develop social enterprise procurement and supply chain strategies, procedures, and policies
  • Support projects related to sustainability, carbon reduction, environment, peer benchmarking, and monitoring the external and regulatory environment
  • Develop playbooks for internal customers on sustainability strategies and support integration of sustainability into our operating model
  • Develop social enterprise procurement and supply chain strategies, procedures, and policies
  • Conduct a current state program assessment of organization's overarching ESG efforts to identify potential enhancement opportunities.
  • Assist with organizing culture, heritage, and inclusive excellence awareness programming
  • Engage with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) ensuring they have the tools and resources to be successful, while also tracking KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
  • Project lead for developing the strategic roadmap for a new Pax8 B-Corp alongside key stakeholders

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • Interest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and desire to deepen expertise in this space
  • Ability to process information through a DEIB framework
  • Ability to challenge, coach and find motivators to provide insight and feedback to stakeholders
  • Can prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Virtual event, webinar, or meeting planning experience is required.
  • Technical experience with Microsoft Teams Live, Zoom, or other webinar/event technology platforms preferred
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams, departments, and time zones
  • Microsoft Office experience required, with heavy emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word
  • Low-Code/No-Code applications development skills preferred (Microsoft Power Apps)
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to rebound from setbacks and adversity when facing demanding situations
  • Ability to know the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement

Required Education & Certifications:

  • Pursuing a B.A./B.S. or a Master’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.

Compensation:

  • This is a part-time, non-exempt position. Qualified candidates can expect an hourly rate beginning at $15 per hour or more depending on experience.

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
