Position Summary:
The QA Engineer II develops and executes functional, backend, web services and exploratory test methods to ensure product quality. They are responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure that the software runs smoothly and meets the company’s standards, while also being cost-effective. The QA Engineer II designs and implements tests and debugs and defines corrective actions. They also review business and technical requirements and rack quality assurance metrics (e.g., defect densities and open defect counts.) The QA Engineer collaborates with project stakeholders, The QA Engineer II collaborates with project stakeholders, project managers, and engineers within the Technology Services department on Enterprise application development as well as operational change management. In addition, they participate in all phases of testing, including planning, development, and the revision of project plans and scope.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Design and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
- Continuously review and improve processes to increase efficiency and quality, tracking quality assurance metrics
- Provide escalation support to QA Engineer I as well as peer reviews
- Drive your own personal development and performance improvements by participating in learning paths on Elev8, taking part in the Pax8 L&D program, receiving peer or manager coaching, and taking on stretch projects, or on-the-job training
Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
- At least (3) to (5) years of experience in QA Experience
- Experience with ITSM, CSM, HRSD, CMDB, or PPM/CPM
- Experience with Salesforce development testing
- Highly experience with testing Enterprise application integrations, automations, and workflows
- Skilled with Python Automation
- Experience of Selenium WebDriver
- Understanding of ITIL and ITSM Framework
- Knowledge of Web technologies JavaScript, REST, HTML, CSS, Angular JS, JSON, Glide, React
- Experience using Update Sets for release management
- Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. Empathetic customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Required Education & Certifications:
- B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience
- Certification in ServiceNow, Microsoft Cloud, Salesforce, or other related credentials preferred
Compensation:
- Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $78,000 or more depending on experience
