Position Summary:

The QA Engineer I evaluates and tests new and modified business software. They author software development and testing procedures which are required to verify that software applications function according to business and technical requirements. Additionally, they ensure that quality, defect-free applications are maintained as efficiently as possible and conform to established guidelines. The QA Engineer I collaborates with project stakeholders, project managers, and engineers within the Technology Services department on Tier 1 application development as well as operational change management. In addition, they participate in all phases of testing, including planning, development, and the revision of project plans and scope.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain test scripts and test suites leveraging automation where possible
  • Partner with Technical Support Engineers to understand and document the impact of issues identified
  • Aid with maintaining user manuals
  • Continuously review and improve processes to increase efficiency and quality
  • Drive your own personal development and performance improvements by participating in learning paths on Elev8, taking part in the Pax8 L&D program, receiving peer or manager coaching, and taking on stretch projects or on-the-job training

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least one (1) to three (3) years of experience in QA Testing roles
  • Experience with ITSM, CSM, HRSD, CMDB, or PPM/CPM
  • Experience with Salesforce development testing
  • Experience with testing Enterprise application integrations, automation, and workflows
  • Knowledge of Python Automation
  • Knowledge of Selenium WebDriver
  • Understanding of ITIL and ITSM Framework
  • Knowledge of Web technologies JavaScript, REST, HTML, CSS, Angular JS, JSON, Glide, React
  • Experience using Update Sets for release management
  • Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. Empathetic customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Required Education & Certifications:

  • B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Certification in ServiceNow, Microsoft Cloud, Salesforce, or other related credentials preferred

Compensation:

  • Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $67,000 or more depending on experience

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
