Position Summary:
The Sr. Finance Business Analyst works closely with both the Pax8 finance team and the Pax8 product team to help develop, implement, and test internally developed functionality and reporting across multiple systems. The ideal candidate has a background in finance, accounting, or a related field with experience in project management, including requirements gathering, resource coordination, and collaboration across multiple stakeholders.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Partner with Pax8 Finance and Product teams as a liaison between the departments to support the development and rollout of new functionality and reporting capabilities across multiple systems
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts in the Pax8 finance team to source all requirements for new initiatives and iterative improvements of existing functionality
- Communicate identified requirements with the Pax8 product team and assist in developing a complete set of requirements for all projects as part of an Agile process
- Support in user acceptance testing (UAT) planning, execution, and management for all new initiatives and iterative improvements of existing functionality
- Work with the finance team to help prioritize requests and tickets and communicate prioritization as necessary
- Partner with the Pax8 product team to communicate relevant information related to new launches and GTM initiatives back to the Pax8 finance team
- Ad hoc projects and collaboration between the Pax8 finance team and the Pax8 product team as necessary
Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
- At least five (5) years of progressive experience
- Previous experience with technical requirements gathering and design documentation
- Project management skills
- Strong knowledge of Excel and other related reporting tools
- Desire to leverage technology and automation
- General knowledge of accounting and finance principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and comfortable with ambiguity
Required Education & Certifications:
- B.A./B.S. in accounting, finance, or related field
- Project Management Certificate and Change Management Certificate preferred
Compensation:
- Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $89,000 or more depending on experience
