Position Summary:

  • The Sr. Talent Development Specialist is responsible for partnering with the business in leading the development, delivery, and support of strategic talent development priorities, programs, and solutions -- from individual contributors to executives. Reporting directly to the Director of Career Development will work with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to design, drive, implement, and facilitate specific talent development programs focused on long-term growth and career development of employees. The Talent Development Specialist will create, utilize, and embed organizational development approaches and tools to drive engagement efforts, retention strategies, team development, culture enhancement efforts, and other talent development initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Design and facilitate career development programs that employ a variety of delivery platforms (e-learning, instructor-led training, social learning, virtual delivery, and performance support).
  • Enhances the employee experience through training, educating, mentoring, and career pathing, ensuring that programs align with organizational needs.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project/program development documentation.
  • Drive collaboration between local and global groups for a holistic approach to career training needs.
  • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, and results of tests and assessments.
  • Assist in creating and managing Gig economy and mentorship programs, including the development of program guidelines and resources.
    • Applies feedback to the learning process to ensure alignment with the needs of internal clients and regularly seeks out recommendations for ongoing improvement.
    • Identifies career development trends that may be beneficial to the organization, performing research and making recommendations as appropriate.
  • Develop career training tools and materials such as instructor-led training resources (PowerPoints, Participant Guides, Facilitator Guides), job aids, etc. Ensures the most effective method is utilized.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and partners to provide training and development resources and services as needed.

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least seven (7) to ten (10) years of relevant work experience (HR, talent management, L&D, career development, career coaching) with at least five (5) years of experience designing (preferably in tech).
  • Deep understanding of career development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to develop strong internal and external partnerships that enable continuous and efficient operations of the Talent Development function.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to work in and manage ambiguity, including dealing effectively with issues that do not always have a process, system, or solution in place.

Required Education & Certifications:

  • B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience

Compensation:

  • Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $115,000 or more depending on experience

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
